One of the main models in the music video for Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines has been cast in an upcoming David Fincher film.

Emily Ratajkowski closed the deal to play Ben Affleck's mistress in Gone Girl. The film is an adaptation of Gillian Flynn's best-selling mystery novel of the same name.

The film's plot revolves around Affleck's character Nick Dunne, who has been implicated in the disappearacne of his wife Amy (Rosamund Pike). Ratajkowski will play Andie, a beautiful college student who has an affair with Dunne. She goes on to help Amy's parents incriminate him in her disappearance.

The film's cast includes Carrie Cool as Dunne's twin sister, Tyler Perry as Dunne's defense attorney, and Kim Dickens and Patrick Fugit, who will portray the roles of detectives involved in the case. Neil Patrick Harris also has a supporting role in the film. Reese Witherspoon and Bruna Papandrea are producing Gone Girl through their Pacific Standard banner along with Leslie Dixon. Production for the film starts this fall.

The 21-year-old British model started posing for the camera at the age of 14. She graduated from UCLA and was signed on to Ford Models. She previously appeared on the shows New Girl and iCarly. She also featured in the music video for Maroon 5's Somebody.

During the time that controversy surrounded the Blurred Lines video for its nudity, she told Rolling Stone she was unsure about being a part of the project at first.

"On paper it sounded pretty crazy," she said. "It was naked girls dancing around, and we didn't know what it would actually turn out like. We turned it down, and then two days later [director] Diane Martel called my agent and was like, 'Look, just let me meet with her.' We really got along and I was like, 'You're the person in charge of this? Cool!' Then when the rate was negotiated we sort of decided, 'Well, it can't hurt you.' It's pretty funny, because it obviously didn't hurt me at all."

She's currently on the cover of Carine Roitfeld's CR Fashion Book.
