Will Miley Cyrus be the next X Factor judge? Reports are swirling online that the former Hannah Montana star is in talks with Simon Cowell and is considering the position. A source told Celebuzz: "There have been talks with Miley."

However, other reports suggest that Demi Lovato has been offered a job as well. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Demi and her team are in "final negotiations" for the job. 

Whether its Cyrus or Lovato, one of them will be seated next to Cowell, L.A. Reid, and Britney Spears. Although it has not been 100 percent confirmed, it has been reported that Britney is very close to signing a $15 million deal to join the judging panel of the US X Factor. 

An insider told E!Online: "Both camps were back and forth on the money but now they have finally come to agreement on the fee. That was the big sticking point and now, thankfully, it's been sorted. All they need to do now is work out the smaller points. The fact the money is now set, means that there is nothing stopping this from becoming a reality."

Former judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger will not be returning as judges to the show. Others being considered for the judging panel are Fergie and Avril Lavigne. 

The host of the US X Factor has not been revealed yet. Steve Jones hosted the show last year but will not be returning for this year's season.
