Fergie and husband Josh Dumhamel debuted the first photos of their newborn via Facebook on Tuesday.

Wearing a hat in the picture, Axl's eyes remain closed as he undergoes a hearing test in the photo Fergie uploaded.

"Axl Jack Duhamel. Day 2 of life. Hearing test complete. All systems go. #chillin," she captioned the shot.

Duhamel posted his own picture on Facebook of Axl sleeping.

"Axl Jack Duhamel Day 1," he wrote. "Life is good"

The Black Eyed Peas singer gave birth to 7 pound 10 ounce Axl on Aug. 29. The couple didn't reveal the baby's name to anyone until after his birth. Duhamel, previously spoke about the couple's reason for keeping the name private.

"Some people may not like it, some people may think it's really cool, but we don't really care, that's why we're not telling anybody," Duhamel told People in July. "We're not even telling [Fergie's] mom because we don't want to hear anything about it. That way you don't feel like you're second-guessing yourself. It's between us. It's a sacred thing."

The 40-year-old Safe Haven star, however, did explain how the proud parents-to-be came up with the name.

"[The name is] kind of traditional, kind of not. My wife is a little rock and roll, so she's a little bit more daring in that department than I am," he told the magazine. "We decided on a name that we both really love, and I think will suit this child."

Fergie broke the news via Twitter in February that she and her husband of four years were expecting their first child.

"Josh & Me & BABY makes three!!! #mylovelybabybump," the singer tweeted, along with a photo of herself and her husband as children.
