Sleepy Hollow rode onto the Fox Monday night scene this week, bringing high ratings and the promise of a multitude of supernatural battles in the future.

The series second episode, "Blood Moon," will delve further into the mythology surrounding the raising of both Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and the Headless Horseman named Death.

"In this episode, Crane receives another message from Katrina (Katia Winter), this time warning us there will be a huge group of new nasties who need to clear a path for the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse," Misson explains in a sneak peek courtesy of Spoiler TV. "This episode frightens me, and I know it's not real. It's scary, and it's going to build."

Another form of evil will rise under the Blood Moon and it won't be the only freaky arrival in Sleepy Hollow. Andy Brooks (John Cho), a police officer who was working with the Horseman and was most defiantly dead at the end of the premiere, will also be back.

As for the creepy horned figure that crawled out of the mirror to kill Brooks, Executive Producer Alex Kurtzman promises audiences will be seeing a lot more of him (referred to as 'The Blurry Man') as well, according to TV Guide. Responsible for the revival of the murder-happy horseman, The Blurry Man's purpose and identity will taunt viewers throughout the season.

Sleepy Hollow airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. on Fox.
