Former Atlanta Housewives star Kim Zolciak's got some disappointing news aftter she watched her husband Kroy Biermann get hurt this weekend during the Atlanta Falcons game.

Biermann, 28, a defensive end for the team tore his achilles tendon during the second quarter of Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams and will miss the rest of season, as he wiill be placed on the injured reserve list, the team announced Tuesday. 

"Kroy Biermann will be going on reserve injured. He has a torn Achilles tendon," Falcons coach Mike Smith revealed.

Zolciak is remaining positive about her husband's injury and took to Twitter to thanks fans for their overwhelming support. 

"My husband is incredibly strong & nothing will slow him down! Never has! Appreciate all the well wishes! He will be back stronger than ever!"

Meanwhile, since Biermann will be out for the remaining of the 2013 season, Zolciak may be getting some extra help around the house, she is pregnant with twins. 

In August, the reality star revealed to E! News that she was expecting twins.

"I was completely shocked,' she said at the time. "I had no idea. It was a natural conception, but twins do run in the family, so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. I can't believe I am going to be a mom to six children. It's going to be very busy but it's a dream come true."
