Dancing With the Stars contestant Amber Riley is not ready to be called the frontrunner yet, despite rave reviews from the judges.

The Glee star received a score of 27 out of 30 from the judges on Monday's premiere after her dance with partner Derek Hough. The score tied the record for best score for a first dance in the show's history which arguably made her an early frontrunner, but Riley isn't comfortable with that yet.

"It's way too early to say [that]," Riley told Access Hollywood Wednesday during rehearsals for next week's dance. The young actress/singer said that everything just came together in the first week.

"We had a really great number, and [Derek] was saying earlier like, it was just a good song, the choreography was right," she said. "He did a good job choreographing for me. It was sassy. It was just a great formula and so it was a good dance, and I was really proud of it when we [did it]. But it's way too early to say who's gonna win. It's way too early."

Though everything turned out well for the pairing, Hough warned that it may not be like that every week.

"Sometimes, it's out of your hands," Hough admitted. "Sometimes, you . . . get a song that you just don't click with or something, you know what I mean? So it's one of those where it's too early to tell because everybody else was fantastic."

Riley explained that she doesn't have that much of an advantage from her time on Glee, but added that the Fox show taught her how to focus. She said that she was used to coming in at an early hour to rehearse a difficult performance but said that DWTS is much tougher.

Riley will perform another dance with Hough on Dancing With the Stars' second episode of season 17. The episode will air Monday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
