TNT has released a new sneak peek at Falling Skies season 4.

While it may not return to viewers' TV screens until next summer, the sci-fi drama has already begun filming in Vancouver. Featuring Drew Roy, Connor Jessup, Maxim Knight, and Colin Cunningham, the recently released video gives fans a look at the first scene of the premiere episode, "Ghost in the Machine."

Picking up two weeks after the events of "Brazil," the opening scene will show the members of the 2 nd Mass as they journey across a field. Strung out in a long column, the resistance fighters' quiet afternoon is soon shattered by the sights and sounds of war.

Tom (Noah Wyle) can be heard asking his daughter Lexi if she is ready to go home. While Tom and his son Ben (Jessup) had previously discussed the possibility of not bringing the half-alien/half-human child back to Charleston, it appears that they will be heading down to the capital.

"Tom is still getting to know this new daughter of his, who he thought was six months old and looks very much like a seven year old," Wyle said of his character's mindset for the beginning of season 4, according to Zap2It. "And her growth rate will continue to be pretty accentuated. It should make for some interesting story lines."

Falling Skies Season 4 to Have More Character Focus

As Tom moves to embrace his youngest child, the travelers come under attack, dodging the explosive shots of some alien assailant. Although there is no talk of extraterrestrial friends or foe in the clip, a new tweet from actor Doug Jones implies that he will be appearing as one of the Volm in an early episode.
