"Dear Mr. Jane, If you were a real psychic you wouldn't need to open the door to see what I've done to your lovely wife and child," Baker's voice says before the killers well-known calling card shows on the screen.
Now that Jane and Lisbon (Robin Tunney) have a list of seven suspects - Bret Stiles, Gale Bertram, Ray Haffner, Reede Smith, Bob Kirkland, Sheriff Thomas McAllister and Brett Partridge - they are closer than ever to revealing the face behind the smile. According to TV Guide, Red John' identity will be revealed by the New Year.
However, brushes with the suspects will put the safety of Jane and the CBI team at risk. In the first episode of the sixth season, "The Desert Rose," the team may be able to eliminate one suspect by time the credits role, according to TV Line.
"Jane and Lisbon are hot on the trail of Red John in the season premiere, but a disagreement on how to handle the situation may leave one of them in danger before the episode is over," said series creator Bruno Heller, according to TV Guide.
Tune in to CBS for the return of The Mentalist on Sept. 29 and find out how the investigation will end.
F. Scott Fitzgerald's timeless tale of greed and corruption in the flashy pre-Depression era of the 1920s is excess at its best. It is told through the eyes of a true outsider who was welcomed in anyway, Nick Carraway, and the story he shares of the battles between 'new money' and 'old money', as well as trying to stay on top no matter the cost, is powerful. Fitzgerald's tale is so well-written that it is one of the few that is hard to claim as a boring read.
