Joshua Ledet and Philip Phillips had an awkward duet Wednesday night, making the judges laugh and prompting Steve Tyler to jump in and patch things up.
It all happened when Ledet and Phillips - the last males in the competition and both considered front runners - were ending their song "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" and Phillips, apparently going with the flow of the song, reached out to hug Ledet.

But Ledet seemed nervous and pushed Philip's arm away, then started laughing and appeared embarrassed.

Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Tyler gave them an ovation and couldn't help but laugh with him as well.
"Hey you guys...," Tyler said laughing. "You need to embrace each other up there. Hold each other, look into each other's eyes and sing that song! Get over it!"
"That's what I did," Phillips replied and reached out to hug Ledet again. This time, he was comfortable with it.
American Idol fans were commenting on Twitter and Facebook about the incident Thursday morning.
"It was poor how Joshua snobbed Phillip, made him look ugly," one person said on Facebook.
