At the 2013 Emmy Awards, there was an expanded "In Memoriam" segment this year.

The late actor James Gandolfini was given a special tribute. Edie Falco presented, remembering her late Sopranos co-star. She began to cry as she presented the tribute.

"He was kind. He was uniquely generous," she said. "If you needed anything at all. Jim was there to take care of it before you had a chance to ask."

"You all knew James Gandolfini the actor. I was lucky enough to know Jim the man," she said. "It's Jim the man, the very dear man, that I will miss the most," Falco added.

In June, Gandolfini died after suffering a heart attack in Italy. Gandolfini is survived by his wife, Deborah Lin, a son and a baby daughter. The Sopranos actor was in Italy to attend the 59th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily and was also scheduled to take part in a festival event this weekend with Italian director Gabriele Muccino.

Gandolfini's last film role was in Enough Said premiered Sept. 7 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
