Drake performed some of his hits at the iHeartRadio festival in Las Vegas on Saturday, Sept. 21.

The Canadian native opened the show with Crew Love, his 2012 collaboration with singer The Weeknd.

"You know, they called me up and they said, 'We need you to come here tonight, we need you to switch the vibe up,'" he said right after the first song. "I know you've been listening to great music all day but I came here for the party."

Following his mini speech, Drake performed All Me, Versace, HYFR and The Motto. He also made sure to sing some songs from his upcoming album Nothing Was The Same, which will be released on Tuesday. For the performance the rapper wore a sweatshirt with the image of Jaden Smith on the front, black pants, white sneakers and a backwards cap.

"I been hard at work on it for a long time and I figured since I came to iHeartRadio we should get into some music off the album," he said.

The 26-year-old then serenaded the crowd with Hold On and We're Going Home, and closed the show with Started From The Bottom.

Drake's third album will be the follow-up to 2011's Take Care. His sophomore album peaked at No. 1 on Billboard, as did his debut album Thank Me Later in 2010. Take Care also won the Grammy for Best Rap Album at the 2013 award show and sold more than a million copies in the U.S. alone.

"This is my f--cking moment to say if I wanted to rap all the time, really rap, I would, but I also love to make music," he told GQ in July about the forthcoming album. "I'll do this for you right now. But it's for me, too. It's my story... I'm trying to get back to that kid in the basement. To say what he has to say. And I'm trying to make it last."
