Sofia Vergara felt like the luckiest actress in the world for attending the 2013 Primetime Emmys.

Vergara, 41, shared the events leading up to, during and after the Emmys with her followers on Twitter, Instagram and Who Say on Sunday.

The actress-- who was recently named the Highest Earning Actress of 2013 by Forbes for the second year in a row-- and her Modern Family costars attended the annual event because they were nominated (and won) the Best Comedy Series award for the fourth consecutive year in a row.

Prior to the formal event, Vergara shared photos with her Colombian family and friends getting ready for the big night. She shared photos of the Covergirl makeup they wore for the festivities. (Vergara is the spokesperson for the makeup brand.)

When she arrived on the red carpet wearing a formfitting red lace mermaid-style gown by Vera Wang, she thanked her family. The Colombian beauty complimented her red dress with corset detail with enormous earrings made up from rubies, sapphires, emeralds and diamonds by jeweler-to-the-stars Lorraine Schwartz.  All of her jewelry consisted of 161 carats and is worth $7 million, according to People.com's Style Watch. The earrings alone are made up of over 100 carats.

During her interview on the red carpet with E! News host Giuliana Rancic, the red carpet host was so stunned by Vergara's red-hot gown that she told the actress her dress had the "hardest job in the world!"

Rancic said she think it will be difficult for the Vera Wang dress to keep Vergara's assets under wraps. Vergara agreed that her gown has a "very hard job."

During the Emmys ceremony, she presented an award with late night talk show Jimmy Kimmel. Together they gave Big Bang Theory actor Jim Parsons a statuette for the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series win.

Later, Vergara, her son Manolo, her fiancé Nick Loeb and her Colombian family and friends attended several Emmy after parties and she documented their moments. In one photo, Vergara is seen twerking. She captioned the photo, "Miley Cyrus this is where the twerk was invented. Colombia!"

In another picture where she is leaning back while dancing, she apologized to one of her co-stars for having so much fun.

"Sorry @jessetyler this is how we dance sometimes," she joked.
