As Miley Cyrus bares all for Rolling Stone magazine's October issue, Enstars looks back at some of the iconic publication's sexiest covers.

Rolling Stone has always managed to shock, amaze, and at times stir up a bit of a controversy with its covers. From John Lennon and Yoko Ono's nude embrace in 1981 to Janet Jackson's topless -- with a man's hands covering her breasts -- black and white cover in 1993.

In this selection of covers, Rolling Stone paints the likes of Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez and Miranda Kerr in a risque light, giving new definition to their sexuality.

Now the new enfant terrible of pop, Cyrus graces the cover of the magazine. In the shot, Miley is topless, sticking her tongue out, by the edge of a pool. She exudes the sensuality of a punk diva: smudgy mascara, her mohawk-ish hair slicked back, showing off her tattooes, and wearing a whole lot of bling.

The October issue of Rolling Stone also features its annual hot list. In the cover story, the 20-year-old talks about the press' appraisal of her sexed-up image, "People are like, 'Miley thinks she's a black girl, but she's got the flattest ass ever.' I'm like, I'm 108 pounds! I know!"

She also speaks about her controversial VMAs performance with Robin Thicke, "I wasn't trying to be sexy. If I was trying to be sexy, I could have been sexy," the self-proclaimed "semi-nudist" said. "I can dance a lot better than I was dancing."

Cyrus also suggested that audiences might not get to see her twerking anymore, "Now people expect me to come out and twerk with my tongue out all the time. I'll probably never do that s--t again."

While speaking about her friends Cyrus also suggested that she wanted to "mentor" Justin Bieber and also spoke about her new friendship with Kanye West.
