Kate Gosselin has opened about her lawsuit against ex-husband Jon Gosselin, admitting she had no other choice.

The mother-of-eight stopped by NBC's Today show Tuesday morning and spoke about her former Jon & Kate Plus 8 costar, spilling as much details as she could.

"It's in the middle of litigation, so I cannot say a lot about it.," Kate said. "I can say that when we started out investigating the source of what was happening, I made the decision back then to push this. It's a lot of Internet bullying. Actually, I've lost a lot of employment opportunities over the rumor mill circulating false stuff."

Last month, Kate filed a complaint alleging that Jon stole a hard drive from her house and hacked into her personal computer and cell phone to gather information for Robert Hoffman's tell-all book, Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled The World.

Kate said the lawsuit was necessary, adding that "most unexpected and disappointing" part of it all was learning "who was at the center of it."

She said she has no regrets filing the lawsuit or partaking in the family's reality show that got them famous.

"Honestly, 100 percent, the kids and I would both tell you it's a great experience," she said of their reality days. "I do not regret anything in my life, and if I could rewind time, I would absolutely do the show again."

Reports confirmed that Jon does not pay the $22,000 monthly child support he's supposed to pay for the children.

He currently waits tables at restaurants to make money.

"I hit rock bottom like 20 times," he said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
