Kevin Durant and Dwyane Wade got into a social media feud after the Miami Heat star posted an Instagram message directly towards the Oklahoma City Thunder player.

The rival between the two started after Durant said in an interview that he disagreed with a recent Sports Illustrated ranking of the top 10 players in the NBA.

Speaking with CineSport, Durant, 24, said Wade, 31, who was ranked eighth on the list should be replaced by Durant's former teammate and current Houston Rockets star, James Harden. Unfortunately, Harden did not make the top 10 list.

Wade, not pleased with Durant's comments posted a handwritten note on Instagram Tuesday.

"9-24-13: Kevin Durant said James Harden should replace me in the top 10 .... Note to self: Make him respect your place in history .. -- again ..."

Durant took to Twitter to respond to Wade's post.

"Show me, don't tweet me," he wrote Tuesday.

Wade's Miami Heat beat Durant and the Thunder in the 2012 Finals last year. The two basketball players appeared opposite each other in a gatorade television ad for Gatorade that ran in during this past season's playoffs.

In an appearance on NBC's Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Wade refused to give details regarding his free agency next summer, but revealed that he wants to stay with the Miami Heat after this season.

Wade, who helped his team win two back-to-back championships in Miami said he hopes his team can do a three-peat, adding that his team is "trying to get like the Lakers and Bulls."

"We hope," Wade said. "It's going to be tough."
