An Android Jelly Bean 4.3 update may be close at hand for older devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S4 and S3 as well as the Galaxy Note 2.

SamMobile announced on Wednesday that Samsung had begun testing the latest update for the Galaxy Note 2. With this information, the site predicts that the Galaxy S4 will be the first to receive the latest adjustments in October while the Galaxy S3 should get an update around the end of October or beginning of November.

The Galaxy Note 2, however, will have to wait a little longer than its siblings. SamMobile claims that users might not see an available update until late November or early December since the company will want to keep the more advanced system exclusive to the Galaxy Note 3 for while after its launch.

For Galaxy S3 and Note 3 users, the update will provide a welcome change considering these phones currently only run Jelly Bean 4.1. When 4.3 hits phones, it will bring the latest Touch Wiz interface as well as varius improvements to Wi-Fi connectivity, graphics, and Bluetooth Low Energy, according to the International Business Times.

The Galaxy Note 2 will have extra features, including Air Command S Pen functions and updated Samsung apps, according to the International Business Times.

The update comes as Google is preparing to release 4.4 KitKat.
