Even though Man of Steel 2 will feature Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill), two big superheroes, the latest rumors have revealed that there may be a third: Wonder Woman.

Warner Bros. may be looking to cast for the iconic female superhero, according to a new report by Bleeding Cool. The report claims that Warner Bros. is looking to cast a new female lead between the age of 25 and 33 but most importantly, she is required to be physically strong.

Allegedly, there is discussion among talent agencies that the female lead role will be Wonder Woman, even though it isn't specifically stated in the casting notice. This has led the agencies to submit various actresses that would be a good fit for the lasso-carrying heroine.

Since Warner Bros. is neither confirming nor denying the accusation that the role is for Wonder Woman, there is still a good chance that it may be true. However, the role may also be for the main villain of the film, which would explain why the company is keeping it a secret.

If the role were indeed for Wonder Woman, it would make sense for Warner Bros. to try and introduce her before the Justice League movie, which brings multiple superheroes, including Wonder Woman, together.

"If I try to think about 'well, what would the fans like...?' then you stop being creative," he said. Very little is known about the plot of Man of Steel 2, other than the involvement of Superman and Batman. In addition to Cavill and Affleck, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane have all been announced to be reprising their roles from Man of Steel.
