Mariah Carey teased fans with a new photo from what appears to be a recording session for her upcoming album, The Art Of Letting Go.

The multi-platinum singer sat in the studio with rapper Nas and her longtime producer Jermaine Dupri. Carey and Nas previously worked together on the remix to 43-year-old's ballad Thank God I Found You back in 2000.

"This album.......!," she captioned the Instagram photo.

Fans expressed their excitement for the collaboration.

"Whenever Jermaine is involved its a Epic Album. She's doing it right. AND and Nas is on it somewhere too? That takes it to a whole entire level. Nas the Nasty," wrote one fan.

"Anytime you collaborate with JD your music is AWESOME! Throw Nas in there... OMFG!!! I cannot wait! I love you Mariah," wrote another.

Nas isn't the only rapper Carey has recorded with in the past few months. In August, Wale tweeted, "Mariah x Wale x JD = coming soon." The initials, JD, are in reference to Dupri.

In June, Carey was also in the studio working on music with her Side Effects collaborator Young Jeezy and producer Mike Will Made It. Jeezy uploaded a photo of of the event on Instagram with the caption, "Boss ya life up!! #Beautiful #itsthaworld."

The Art of Letting Go was originally set for release on on July 23, but Carey felt that she needed more time to perfect her first record since 2010.

"While making this album, I got so immersed in the creative process that I just don't feel I would be doing it justice to release it on 7/23," she tweeted in June. "I'd rather not exclude meaningful songs. I want to give you this album as it's meant to be heard. When I'm ready, you'll be the first to know."

The record's lead single, Beautiful featuring Miguel, peaked at No. 15 on Billboard.
