Oklahoma will travel to South Bend, Ind. Saturday afternoon to take on Notre Dame for redemption after the Irish beat them last season, 30-13.

Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly is quite confident in his team and believes the Irish will come out with the win, if they have a running game.

The Irish (3-1) endured tight coverage during last weeks 17-13 win over Michigan State as ND quarterback Tommy Rees went 14 of 34 for 142 yards and a touchdown.

Oklahoma (3-0) coach Bob Stoops has prepared his players to strategically defend Ress' pass attempts.

Rees, a senior has averaged 39.3 attempts over the Notre Dame's last three games and has a 138.1 passer rating that's 53rd in the nation, ESPN noted.

"They're going to put it up in every game a good number of times," Stoops said. "(Rees) throws an excellent ball, and they have confidence in their receivers going up and getting it. That's definitely something we're aware of and something we need to be able to defend."

Coach Kelly knows the importance of the running game after it was held to a season-low 78 yards last week, the first time since 2008 that the Irish has fell below 100 on the ground in three straight contests.

"If (opponents) think that they can prevent us from throwing the ball over their heads, then we may see (man-to-man defense) again. If they don't, they'll play more zone and give us an opportunity to run the football," Kelly said.

The last time Oklahoma played at the Notre Dame Stadium was in Oct. 2, 1999 when they lost 34-30.

Kickoff is set for 3:30 pm. Live stream the game here:
