Rapper Vanilla Ice wants Justin Bieber to take Miley Cyrus' advice before the young pop singer's career goes completely downhill.

Ice -- a.k.a. Rob Van Winkle -- thinks Cyrus, 20, was right when she told Rolling Stone in her cover story that she has been telling the Boyfriend singer to end his crazy antics before people "think he's Vanilla Ice." She cited Ice in a cautionary message when describing Bieber's career in the Oct. 8 issue of the magazine.

"He's trying really hard," she said of Bieber, 19. "People don't take him seriously, but he really can play the drums, he really can play guitar, he really can sing. I just don't want to see him f-ck that up, to where people think he's Vanilla Ice. I tell him that. Like, 'You don't want to become a joke. When you go out, don't start s--t. Don't come in shirtless.' But the thing is, I think boys are, like, seven years behind. So in his head, he's really, like, 12."

"I do mentor him in a way," she added. "Because I've been doing this s--t for a long time, and I already transitioned, and I don't think he's quite done it yet."

Vanilla Ice did not mind Cyrus name-dropping him as the bad example and said, "It's like living an artificial life. When the dust settles, no one can figure it out or help you but yourself."

To commemorate her first Rolling Stone cover, Cyrus got the words "Rolling $tone" tattooed on the soles of her feet. Vanilla Ice paid respect to the Wrecking Ball singer by getting "Miley Cyru$" written on his own feet. The 45-year-old shared a photo of his new body art via Twitter on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

"WORD TO YOUR MOTHER !" he captioned the image. "LMAO!"

It's unclear if Ice's ink is real.
