To the excitement of its fans, new information on episode 4 of the fourth season of CBS' hit drama series, Criminal Minds, has now surfaced.

The CBS network put out the following synopsis on the upcoming installment:

"The BAU is going to meet their new section chief, and the team will hit the streets of Baltimore, looking for an unsub. The BAU will meet their new section chief, Mateo Cruz, who, unbeknownst to them, shares a long work history with J.J. Cruz, joins the team as they comb the streets of Baltimore for an UnSub who leaves victims unable to communicate."

According to Hollywood Hills, Esai Morales will be coming on board in a recurring role capacity as Mateo Cruz, the new BAU section chief. David Anders will be making a guest spot appearance as Anton Harris.

In other Criminal Minds happenings, TV Fanatic reported that fans will get to witness what transpired with J.J. (A.J. Cook) during her months of being AWOL in season 6. Cook dished about what's to come in the ninth season.

"Season 9 is a season about all of our characters. We're looking at this season as a thank-you card to our viewers who've been there sticking with us through the thick and thin. So we're going to take Season 9 to get into the backstories of all our characters," she said.
