Charlie Sheen's ex wife Denise Richards has been cast as his onscreen love interest for his new show "Anger Management",  reported US magazine. Sheen and Richards have previously been married for three years before their divorce in 2006. They have two daughters, Sam, 8, and Lola, 7. Regarding, Sheen, she told US magazine: "He's in a really good place. Everything is good. He's been very focused on our children and on his job."


Richards said in a recent interview with Extra about her new role alongside her ex-husband. "Charlie came to me and asked me to do an episode on the show. I saw a sneak peek of the first episode and it's really funny. I did a table read last week. I play a love interest to my ex-husband."


Charlie Sheen will play his first role since his famous exit from Two and a Half Men last year. His new comedy series, "Anger Management" is based on the 2003 Jack Nicholson movie. He will play "Shawnee Smith" , with Denise Richards as "Lori".
Richards, 41, began filming her part for the series in April. She tweeted on April 21: "It's a wrap! Thanks @charliesheen for a great week..had a blast! So fun working together again!!"

Richards adopted a little girl in June 2011.
