Monday's episode of The Voice shows the coaches getting physical when Adam Levine slaps Blake Shelton for vying to win the singing competition for the fourth time in row.

Shelton's three fellow coaches all gang up on him because they do not want him to win again. Levine's contestant, Javier Colon, won season 1, but Shelton has won seasons 2, 3, and 4.

In a preview vide for the Sept. 30 episode, Levine walks up to Shelton's chair and tells him, "We're gonna gun for you homey," adding, "You won three years in a row."

Christina Aguilera agrees and says, "America needs change."

"You need to lose," Levine tells Shelton.

Shelton then dares Levine to hit him for being so upset about his wins. Levine slaps Shelton mildly and tells him it "felt really good."

CeeLo Green states that he does not want to see Shelton win again by telling a contestant who is trying to pick a coach, "Don't let Blake win again, ok?"

Several contestants performed so well during the season 5 premiere week that all four coaches spun their chairs around to express interest in landing them on their teams.

After college student Matthew Shuler belted Young The Giant's Cough Syrup, he set a record -- all four coaches turned their chairs around at the same time. After Aguilera begged Shuler, "Please, please let me be the first female coach to win this thing," he picked her to be his coach,.

Other stand-out auditions came from Caroline Pennell, 17, who sang Ellie Goulding's Anything Could Happen and 55-year-old Donna Allen who sang a rendition of Joe Cocker's You Are So Beautiful. The latter vowed to become the first contestant over 40 to win this season.

Holly Henry's raspy version of Coldplay's The Scientist was so impressive that Shelton turned his chair around almost immediately after the 16-year-old began singing. The other three coaches also followed suit to express interest in the teen. In the end, she picked Shelton.
