Season 11's second episode will mark the end of Ziva David but how will she say goodbye? Executive Producer Gary Glasberg and actor Michael Weatherly confirmed that fans will finally see how the relationship between Tony DiNozzo and Ziva plays out.

"Ziva is out in the ether and Tony has to go off and find her," Glasberg recently told TV Guide. "There's some really lovely moments between Tony and Ziva, and a really passionate, lovely goodbye."

Weatherly, who plays Tony, also said: "The will they, won't they is answered. Tony's going to be forced to face this Sword of Damocles that's been hanging over him since season 3."

Ziva, who entered the show during season 3, held a secretive demeanor but fans will finally obtain a better understanding of who she is and they'll discover what makes her "tick." Yet, Ziva's anatomy won't be completely broken down.

"It's insight in terms of what happened when she joined NCIS regarding [her brother] Ari," Glasberg said. "Ziva has always been a mystery, and she remains a mystery."

While NCIS fans will probably be upset with Ziva's departure, it will surprisingly have a positive affect on Tony.

Ziva David To Possibly Return In The Future?

"Tony might begin to step into a new, maybe a more authentic, version of himself, a more connected version of himself, because he's not in a constant holding pattern emotionally," Weatherly said. "I think the floodgates open."

While Ziva and Tony will be no more, a new love affair will ignite. Timothy McGee will have his eyes on a new character named Delilah. The new lady will be played by actress Margo Harshman. But, Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) won't be enthused.

"They have a really wonderful scene together with Abby that causes this fantastic triangle," Glasberg said. "We'll probably see her again a little bit later on."

Season 11 of NCIS airs Tuesday at 8/7c on CBS.
