The decision to cast Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey has caused quite the backlash in recent days from fans of the saucy read.

However, it appears as though the English actor won't be backing down to his naysayers, as he reportedly met up with author E.L. James recently in order to clear the air, according to International Business Times.

Amid multiple reports stating that Hunnam would be exiting the movie after receiving disapproval from online fans, James posted a pic of Charlie's forearm tattoo for his Sons of Anarchy TV series on Twitter with a caption that read, "Guess who...."

The respective image and message was seemingly posted to indicate that the English actor was here to stay as Christian Grey.

James' approval post comes just days following chatter that Hunnam was contemplating relinquishing the role as the billionaire CEO after several 50 Shades loyalists signed a petition to have him removed.
