As a special panel discussion of Orange is the New Black kicked-off the inaugural Paley Festival in New York on Oct. 2, Enstars caught up with actor Jason Biggs to talk about his character on the show and the fate of Larry and Piper's relationship in the next season.

In the finale of season 1, Larry Smith, Piper Chapman's fiance, broke up with her after having a conversation with her lesbian lover, Alex Vause (Laura Prepon). Alex revealed to him that Piper had initiated the sexual relationship in prison and that Larry was suffering because of her insecurities.

After speaking to Biggs, it seems like Larry isn't going anywhere. His character will stick it out, but it is going to be bumpy ride.

"Well, I think it fluctuates, and I think they will learn in the second season if the damage that was done to them is irreparable," he told EnStars. "I mean, she is still in prison and there are still risks and there is a lot of threat to the relationship but they love each other, that's the bottom line. They care deeply about each other. Larry cares deeply about Piper and it's very hard on him. It wasn't an easy relationship to begin with. It just is now that much more difficult."

Larry's forgiving nature and his love for Piper -- being okay with the mistakes she made in the past, overlooking her relationship with Alex (even in prison after Larry and Piper were engaged), and his willingness to work this out while she is in prison -- seems a touch unrealistic. Larry's character is further complicated by his professional strife, he uses his wife's story to get a piece in the New York Times, the revealing details of which she is disconcerted by.

But Biggs suggests that he understands the motivations of the character he plays on the show and has never had a moment of questioning his actions.

"I do relate with him, I think the thing that I really enjoyed playing this past season and the thing that I thought was really compelling with their situation and with Larry is that I think that he ultimately, is a victim in all of this or at least he sees himself that way," he said. "I don't think he realized just how difficult this would be on him. At the onset, he is going to be her rock, he is going to be there for her. She is the one that has everything to deal with and is really in a bad situation, but I think he is going to realize just how difficult it is going to be for him."

"Consequently, he ends up needing to take care of himself differently, to figure out how to survive on the outside in the same way that she needs to survive on the inside, and he ends up doing something's that are a little selfish, a little questionable. I sympathize with that, at least I understand why he might be driven to do some of those things, given that situation," he added.

While Orange is the New Black is on a lot of critic's favorite shows list, and audiences can't wait for the next season to air, come 2014. Enstars found out what show gets Biggs jonesing: "Oh, Homeland! I am very excited. Now that Homeland's back, I feel I am me again!"

But Biggs missed the biggest television event of this season, the Breaking Bad finale. He was not able to tune into the craze because he is still catching up, he told Enstars that he was still on Season 3. "I'm behind a little be," he said, warning us to not give away any spoilers.
