Dancing With the Stars fan favorite Maksim Chmerkovskiy may have sat out of the past two seasons, but he may come back soon - in a guest judging role.

Brother Val Chmerkovskiy, who is competing on the current season with actress Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, said that Maks might be interested in coming back for an episode to judge the celebrity dancers.

"My brother said to me that that was definitely a conversation that was had, and that it was something he would be very, very interested in doing," Val wrote in his TODAY blog this week.

Val wrote that he has thought about his brother coming on as a guest judge before but doesn't think it would actually happen.

"Every time that thought came up, the righteousness in me always said, 'You know that's never going to happen! I'm still on the show and the whole $#&^% cast is going to complain!'" he wrote.

Despite potential bias, two-time DWTS champion Julianne Hough is returning for Monday's show as a guest judge. Brother Derek Hough is currently in the competition with partner Amber Riley. Julianne tweeted a photo Tuesday with the caption "Cannot wait for next week on ‪#dwts the "angel with devil horns" is back!! Watch out!"

Val wrote that he wasn't concerned about Julianne being a guest judge, "Julianne is a very honest and very professional person foremost - incredibly entertaining and has a lot of knowledge and a lot of experience."

Dancing With the Stars will be entering its fourth week of competition on Monday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
