Shortly after launching the Sony Xperia Z1, the newest rumors about its upgrade, Xperia Z2, speculate that the device will be released in April 2014. 

The Android phone as well as its features and specs are rumored to be revealed at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) event in Las Vegas in January 2014.

It is said to have a standard smartphone sized display screen of 5.2 inches (compared to the 5-inch screen of the Xperia Z1) and have the newest display features including 1080X1920 full HD resolution. 

It will also have more storage space and extra RAM than the Xperia Z1. It will come with will come with a 3GB of RAM- the Z1 currently has 3GB. The Z2's pixel density will also be an improvement. Rumors say it will have 505 ppi, which is higher than the 441 ppi the Xperia Z1 has. 

AndroidSAS reported that it will also come with the operating system's newest software-- Android 4.4, KitKat. It hasn't been released yet but pictures of what the upgrade has to offer has surfaced. 

According to CNET, KitKat comes with "smoother animations, white icons in the notification drop-down instead of the blue color...save images locally in PDF format" as well as printing options like the size of the paper, how many copies, orientation and selection of color or black and white. It's also set to allow users to manage payments.

Fresh apps like Google Drive, Keep and Quickoffice are new features as well. 

The Xenon Flash is a new rumored feature.. The lens is similar to the Z1's 20.7MP but will use a Xenon flash instead of LED. This will help the photos have higher voltage and brighter pictures-- but it will make the device more bulky.
