The Blacklist is slowly zeroing in on the connection between criminal mastermind Raymond 'Red' Reddington and FBI profile Elizabeth Keen.

While many viewers were entertaining the idea that Red (James Spader) could be Liz's (Megan Boone) father, it does not look like this will be the answer.

Liz's actual father, Sam, will be revealed in episode seven, according to E!. However, it does seem like he will add an important piece to the Reddington puzzle considering the episode will reveal a shared past between the two.

Meanwhile, Red still holds the upper hand when it comes to knowledge about Liz's husband, Tom (Ryan Eggold). Although Liz ran ballistics on the guns she found stashed away under the rug, the results came back classified by Homeland Security.

It turns out Boone is just as in the dark regarding these mysteries as her character.

"I have asked them to not give me any information until my character learns that information," Boone told IGN. "So the relationship between Elizabeth and Red, what is going on in her relationship with her family life, all of these mysteries that you come out of the pilot with, are still mysteries to me as well."

As the NBC show moves into its fourth episode, "The Stewmaker," Liz will continue her investigation into her husband's secret identity. As she does so, a witness in an important drug case will go missing, prompting Red to divulge information regarding The Stewmaker (Tom Noonan), a man responsible for the disappearances of hundreds of people. For what its worth, The Stewmaker looks like an incredibly creepy villain, as depicted by new promo photos.

The Blacklist airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
