Yikes! Jennifer Hudson endured an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction when she appeared on Chelsea Lately Thursday night.

In the video clip below, Hudson walks on to the set--dressed in a white tank and black leather skirt that had a zipper in the front. When the DreamGirls star went to sit down in the chair next to the late-night host, her zipper completely ripped in the front.

"Oh my God, Oh my god," Handler is heard screaming, as she tries to help Hudson fix her skirt. "Turn around, let me help you."

"Zip me back up," Hudson says to Chandler. "You got it, you got it. Don't break the zipper."

Once Hudson got her skirt malfunction in order, she revealed why it was so hard to portray a heroin addict in the movie, The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete, since she has never done any type of drugs or alcohol in her life.

"I've never done anything. I've never had a drink in my life or been unsober. And normally as an actor, you have things to pull from but I was like, I don't know what it's like to have any of that....I've never been interested," she said. "No one ever believes me but no, never."

The former American Idol contestant also spoke about what it was like drawing inspiration for the film.

"I went to a rehabilitation center and met with several ladies and they would tell me their stories as addicts. I tried to find one I could connect to and pretty much tell her story. The worst story she told me was one time she had her baby in a bookbag while she went out to find her high," she said.
