The undefeated football team at Michigan will be facing off against Penn State on Saturday at 5 p.m. on ESPN.

The 18th ranked Michigan Wolverines (5-0) are playing the unranked Penn State Nittany Lions (3-2) on the latter's home turf at Beaver Stadium, University Park, Pa. Overall, the Wolverines are ahead 10-6 in their series against the Nittany Lions, however, Penn State has won the past three games o the series.

Michigan quarterback Devi Gardner averages 8.8 yards per attempt and is currently completing 60.2 percent of throws this season. He ranks second on his team for rushing yards with 318. On the flip side, the quarterback has had troubled with interceptions this season, with one pick for every 15 pass attempts.

Penn State freshman quarterback Christian Hackenberg is completing 59.4 percent of throws and averaging over 270 passing yards per game this season. He's thrown eight touchdowns with four interceptions, two of which came from the team's season opener.

Michigan star linebacker Jake Ryan may play in Saturday's game depending on his own judgment call. The linebacker has been out for the entire season due to a torn ACL during spring practice. Ryan was cleared to play Saturday but Michigan coach Brady Hoke told reporters Monday that it will come down to Ryan's own decision before the game.

Ryan led his team with 88 tackles last season and could provide Michigan with a greater advantage defensively if he plays Saturday.
