The Washington Redskins will take on the Dallas Cowboys for the first time this season on Sunday.

The last time these two teams played each other was in the 2012 regular season winner-take-all game. The Redskins beat the Cowboys 28-18. However, several sports experts predict that the Cowboys, who have Tony Romo as the quarterback, will win the upcoming game.

This season, Washington holds a record of 1-3 while Dallas is 2-3.

Aside from the team's performance this season, the Redskins are in the news for another reason. The team has faced a bit of controversy recently regarding its name, which references Native Americans. The team's symbol is also the face of a Native American. However, the team's owner, Dan Snyder, has addressed the issue in an open letter and said he stands by the name.

"The name of my team continues to hold the memories and meaning of where we came from, who we are, and who we want to be in years to come. It is a symbol of everything I stand for. When I think of the name, I think of the values (and assets) I want to share with the next generation," he wrote.
