Kevin Durant is a proud fiancee!

Back in July, the Oklahoma City Thunder guard and girlfriend Monica Wright got engaged. Over the weekend, he gushed about the WNBA player and her team, Minnesota Lynx winning the 2013 women's championship.

"So happy for the Minnesota Lynx! I'm so proud of you @monnie22!! Yessirrrrr," he tweeted on Oct. 10.

After the game on Saturday, Thunder beat writer, Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman, tweeted some quotes from Durant about Wright winning her second WNBA title:

"I was proud of how she helped her team win a championship. It was kind of tears of joy," Durant said, adding, "I'm glad she's my future wife. She's got more championships than I do."

Then, when one fan tweeted Durant and tried to take a jab at the basketball player by asking how he felt about his girl getting a championship ring before he did, he responded:

"@pdgrahamo30 I love it!!! She's the better player anyway,"

It wasn't until August that Wright expressed her love for Durant even after staying mum about the engagement.

'You think I'm pretty without any makeup on you think I'm funny when I tell the punchline wrong I know you get me so I let my walls come down. Before you met me I was alright but things were kinda heavy you brought me to life now every February you'll be my Valentine.' Katy Perry said it best!" Wright posted on Instagram.

Romance rumors for Durant and Wright first swirled in 2011 when he tweeted: "Maybe I need a basketball playing girlfriend...hmm lol...monica wright where r u, love and basketball."
