Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson appear to get along quite well and, as they revealed on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, the actors' children are friends as well.

The voices of the upcoming film Free Birds visited the talk show to showcase their competitive friendship as well as discuss their young offspring.

Wilson has a 2-year-old son, Robert Ford Wilson, with his former girlfriend Jade Duell. Harrelson has three daughters with his wife Laura Louie, the youngest of which, 7-year-old Makani, is quite fond of little Ford.

"They're actually quite good friends," Harrelson said of the two.

The actors showed a few pictures of the two kids, including one of Makani when she took Ford to school for show-and-tell.

"She's always kind of hugging Ford," Wilson said. "To Ford, Makani is almost like a cougar."

While Makani heads off to school, Ford is busy learning to play hide and seek with his father, although he hasn't quite grasped the nuances of the game.

"You hope that you know, gosh, wouldn't it be amazing if you had a prodigy for a kid that was just like watching Monty Python at age two, but Ford's sense of humor seems to be not that sophisticated," Wilson joked before showing a video of his son in the bath, laughing hysterically at the farting sound his rubber duck was making.

Wilson and Harrelson then showed off their notoriously competitive side in a jousting match. The Wedding Crashers actor seemed to exit the ring victorious as his Hunger Games opponent decided to undertake a kamikaze strategy.

The pairs' animated feature, Free Birds, will enter theaters on Nov. 1. Check out the trailer in the video below.
