While she clearly won't be having a say in the casting decision over who'll replace the recently departed Charlie Hunnam for the Christian Grey role, Britney Spears recently chimed in on her pick for the next leading man in E.L. James' Fifty Shades of Grey.

The pop princess recently spoke to KIIS-FM UK radio about who she fancies for the role, and it's actually actor James Franco, according to E! Online.

"I love James Franco. I think he's really cool," she said.

While the 35-year-old has delved into a wide array of roles throughout his career, saucy flicks are nothing foriegn to Franco, who appeared in Spring Breakers, Milk and Lovelace.

Nonetheless, Spears also apparently wouldn't attest to Ryan Gosling, as the radio host informed her that the Drive star was his very own preference for the part of the S&M-crazed billionaire.

"I had a dream about him last night. But no, it wasn't that kind of dream. We were just talking, having a conversation. I wish it was like that!" Spears admitted.

Fifty Shades of Grey is scheduled to launch in theaters on Aug. 1, 2014. Only time will truly indicate just how the casting process will ultimately unfold.
