The winner of season 12 of Project Runway was crowned Thursday night on Lifetime.

Going into the finale there were only four designers left: Dom Streater, Alexandria von Bromssen, Justin LeBlanc and Bradon McDonald. Each finalist presented his or her collection at Lincoln Center in New York City in front of judges Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia and Zac Rosen. Scandal star Kerry Washington was also on hand as a guest judge.

In the end, it was 24-year-old Streater that won Project Runway season 12. The Philadelphia native called her "Retro Redux" collection a "view of the future, borrowing from the past." The designer showcased a bathing suit on the runway, which did not please Rosen. However, Washington said that she liked Streater's unique prints.

Streater was given $25,000 from L'Oréal Paris as well as a fashion spread in Marie Claire.

Van Bromssen came in second place with a collection that Klum called "young and hip and now." Garcia noted how easygoing and effortless the designer's collection felt.

LeBlanc came in third with a collection that utilized 3D printing. The designer was stressed when he learned that one his models broke their ankle a mere two hours before they were scheduled to appear on the runway. Mentor Tim Gunn used his save on LeBlanc in episode 6, preventing the designer from being eliminated.

McDonald came in fourth place. The designer had a collection that Garcia thought had too many pieces and ideas going on at the same time. She explained that McDonald's story was not coming through and that people could not understand it.
