Apple's new iPad and iPad mini are expected to be debuted at the company's latest event Tuesday.

The fifth generation iPad is expected to be unveiled at the event in Cupertino, Calif. Tuesday. According to tech experts, the latest iPad may include a flat back as well as uniform colors, both of which would be inherited from the iPad mini. The iPad 5 might be slimmer than the previous two generations of iPads, which required large batteries. Early leaks may have revealed that the new iPad will have a brighter display while also conserving energy.

Additionally, the iPad 5 will likely have a faster processor than the iPhone, as has been the case for previous iPads. KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, known for his knowledge on new Apple products, recently revealed that both the new iPad and iPad mini will feature 8 megapixel rear cameras. The cameras will have new lens elements as well. Kuo believes that the retina display will be attractive to consumers.

"Despite minimal form factor differentiation and unchanged casing colors, we think the retina display will still boost iPad mini 2's attractiveness," he explained. "Although the model's availability is small due to production issues, if iPad mini 2 gets an introduction and launch this year, it should be able to impact consumers and freeze their budget for other brand vendors' tablets."

Apple users can also expect more updates from many of the company's products, including the anticipated software OS X Mavericks. Other updates may include the Mac Pros, Macbook Pros and tweaks to iLife.

The Apple event presentation will begin at 10 a.m. PST.
