Apple aficionados can expect some major news from the tech magnate on Tuesday, as well as the role out of the new iPad 5 and the iPad mini 2.

Following hard on the heels of the release of the iPhone 5S and 5C, the Cupertino based company is expected to make announcements regarding their MacBook Pros, their desktop model, and possibly the Apple watch, many buyers will be awaiting news on the forthcoming updates to the company's line of tablets.

The iPad 5 is expected to get a facelift after remaining static since its second generation, according to the International Business Times. Expected to be lighter and thinner, the fifth generation may make the move to a design more akin to the iPade Mini. Meanwhile, the possibility of possible gold and silver models is still up in the air.

While the iPad 4 is currently running the old A6X chip and the mini's are in the stone age with the A5, consumers can expect both models to obtain a new processor, according to Bloomberg Businessweek. Since the iPhone 5S snagged the new A7, the iPad 5 could be slatted for the A7X while the mini may grab a version of the older A6.

Some features still in contention are a possible camera update, Retina display for the mini, and a finger print sensor for the iPad 5.
