Apple unveiled the latest line of MacBook Pros at their Special Event Tuesday.

The new line of MacBook Pros with Retina Display will include the latest silicon from Intel, according to Apple executives. The new laptops will feature extended battery life as well as an increase in power consumption. They will include free OS X 10.9 Mavericks, the latest software developed for desktop and laptop computers.

The latest MacBook Pros are being sold starting at $1299 for the 13-inch, a $200 decrease from its 13-inch predecessor. They are also lighter than ever before at only 3.46 pounds and 0.71 inches thick. The Pros will have nine hours of battery life and a vastly improved Wi-Fi. This laptop comes with a 2.5GHz dual core i5, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and an Intel Iris graphics chip.

The new 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display includes new Crystalwell Iris Pro graphics chips. The line comes with eight hours of battery and starts at $1999, a price drop of $200. The 15-inch Pro has a 2.0GHz Core i7 processor as well as 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD.

Both models are available to consumers starting Tuesday.
