Jessica Lange is officially leaving American Horror Story after season 4, according to the actress herself.

Lange confirmed to BuzzFeed in a Tuesday report that she has signed on for one more season of American Horror Story and then "that'll be it." The actress is currently starring as the Supreme witch Fiona on American Horror Story: Coven, the show's third incarnation. She starred as the complicated Sister Jude in season 2's Asylum and played nosy neighbor Constance Langdon in the show's first season.

Lange was tight-lipped when asked what to expect for season 4, simply teasing, "I'm very excited." American Horror Story co-creator RyanMurphy previously told The Hollywood Reporter that Lange has been saying she'd leave the series every year.

"Every year, she says, 'OK, that's my last one.' But she's already committed to the fourth series. I can see American Horror Story going 10 years, 12 years, 15 years. I think it's limitless because it re-energizes every year, and I would love for Jessica Lange to be part of it every year."

As for the current Coven season, Lange teased her character's upcoming romance with the Axeman (Danny Huston), a real-life serial killer from the early 1900s.

"I wanted a romance," Lange admitted. "Especially for a woman that's at the end of the line and for the first time in her life finds love." Her romance with the Axeman will be her first main romantic storyline since Lange started on the show.

Fans can expect the show to get a lot darker compared to the first two episodes. Lange said that the season was going to "change really fast" and feature more material that's of interest to her.

American Horror Story: Coven airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on FX.
