Fashion designer Georgina Chapman handled her Project Imagination directing debut, A Dream of Flying, similarly to her clothing line's collections.

"I found there were quite a few parallels," she told EnStars at Canon's Project Imagination Film Festival on Thursday. "I approached the film very much how I approach a collection. I built mood boards and worked from that. It's a very different discipline but there are similarities."

The co-founder of the fashion house Marchesa also received some direction from her husband, film producer Harvey Weinstein, as well as the night's curator and Oscar-winning director Ron Howard.

"I actually asked a lot of questions. He was fantastic and he offered me wonderful advice," she said of Weinstein, whom she wed in 2007. "But, we had the great fortune of having Ron Howard as our mentor so he was let off the hook a little bit."

The event showcased the work of four more famous faces, including Jamie Foxx, Eva Longoria, the founder of the LCD Soundsystem James Murphy and Twitter's co-founder Biz Stone, who each based their film on user-generated photographs.

Howard and his daughter, actress Bryce Dallas Howard, also chose five more directors - Arrius Sorbonne, Jared Nelson, Julian Higgins, Kalman Apple and Ronnie Allman - to partake in the Canon project.

The films can be viewed on Yahoo Screen through the end of the year.
