Don't expect Brandon Blackstock's ex-wife, Melissa, to be jealous over Kelly Clarkson. In fact, the mother of Blackstock's two children said she's excited for the couple's union.

"I love Kelly. I've known her for years," Melissa recently told People magazine. "I couldn't ask for a better stepmother for my children. My kids love her."

Blackstock and Melissa have a 12-year-old daughter named Savannah and a 6-year-old son named Seth. Clarkson previously raved about her stepchildren in an interview with ABC News, a few days prior to her wedding.

"Brandon, he's a great dad and we wanted to make sure it's cool with [his kids], but they are really pumped about it," she said. "We actually, probably, want two more and he's got two, so four total. [The oldest] will be in her teens, so that's kind of like a live-in babysitter."

The singer and Blackstock got married on Oct. 20 at Blackberry Farms in Tennessee. Although she eloped with her husband, Clarkson shared her special day with her fans. The 31-year-old uploaded a short clip of her wedding day via Twitter on Oct. 22.

"Here is a little video of our special day! Thanks to everyone for all of your well wishes!!! #cloud9 #tieitup," she captioned the clip.

As Patty Griffin's Heavenly Day played in the background, Clarkson and Blackstock shared kisses and slow danced on the farm.

The couple, who started dating in early 2012, decided to have a small wedding because of their unaccommodating schedules.

"We are so busy that we finally just came to terms the other night and were like, 'So we change our minds and we want to elope,'" she told People in August. "We just got so overwhelmed by the decisions."
