Miley Cyrus crashed Saturday Night Live and announced her plans to go on tour next year.

At the top of the show, Alec Baldwin, who hosted the show 15 times, went back and forth with Norton with a little acting banter and introduced Cyrus. He said, "The worst trap for an actor, you get inside his head. So I want you to talk to someone who has never once been in her head. Miley can you come out here please?"

Before Cyrus gave Saturday's host, actor Edward Norton, a few tips, she decided to promote her upcoming tour.

She stated, "Real quick I would just like to announce to all my fans that I'm about to be going on tour."

Baldwin also gave himself a little plug and added, "I would like to announce to Miley's fans that my new talk show is on MSNBC Fridays at 10 o'clock."

Cyrus then broke down her top three rules for hosting SNL: Gotta have fun, gotta keep your energy up, gotta stick your tongue out like this...Ok never mind don't do that."

This brought on an awkward laughter from the crowd that was hard to tell if it was from Cyrus' tongue move or Norton's attempt to try it.

Of course she and Baldwin reassured Norton that he would do great.

Miley went on to let fans know via Twitter that more details of the tour, as far as dates and cities, are still to come and invited them to join her mailing list to stay updated.
