Britney Spears recited the intro to Michael Jackson's Thriller as part of a halloween special for BBC Radio One called Britney, Witch.

In the video Spears is seen being all goofy with Nick Grimshaw trying to spook up the scene with her. Spears rides a broom, wields a bloodied axe, and reads out loud from a story book while seated on a throne, as the overture for Jackson's Thriller softly underscores her performance. She also takes a moment, breaking away from her character, to place an order for a pepperoni pizza.

While Spears might only be mock-spooking the audience in the clip, it was recently reported that the pop diva's songs are actually being used to scare away Somalian pirates.

Rachel Owens, a merchant navy officer on huge super tankers off the east coast of Africa, tole the Daily Mirror that Spears' songs are very effective in wading off the menacing pirates.

"Her songs have been chosen by the security team accompanying our tankers because they thought the pirates would hate them most," she said. "These guys can't stand Western culture or music, making Britney's hits perfect."

It has been reported that songs like Baby One More Time and Oops! I Did It Again are the most popular numbers when it comes to these combatting tactics. Apparently the bandits can't stand her music.

In other news, Spears also seems to be getting along with her former husband, Kevin Federline, as both of them were recently spotted together, cheering on their son, Jayden at his soccer match in Tarzana, California.
