The finale of Drop Dead Diva season 5 airs Nov. 3 and at the end of it, viewers will not have any questions regarding Jane and Owen's relationship status.

Show creator and executive producer Josh Berman told TV Line "huge surprises" would be in store this season for the ex-lovers, who have found themselves unsure about where they stand as they continue to work together at the firm.

Throughout the season they figure out what their relationship is going to be and the finale will feature an answer to that quesiton.

"A big question for Owen is: Can they be friends? Or will he continue to pine after her? We do resolve all those issues by the end of the fall season," Berman previewed.

The fifth season finale will include a surprise visitor from Jane's past who puts her relationship with Grayson on the line.

Lifetime is bringing back the once-canceled drama for a 13-episode sixth season, it announced Oct. 25. The new episodes will premiere in 2014.

The show was cut off following its fourth season in January, but Lifetime reversed its decision several months later following talks with studio Sony Pictures Television about cost-cutting efforts.

Drop Dead Diva centers on an aspiring and shallow model, Deborah "Deb" Dobkins, who was killed in a car crash and is brought back to life as a plus-size lawyer Jane Bingum (Brooke Elliott). The current season, currently airing 9 p.m. Sundays, introduced a new guardian angel played by Justin Deeley.

Berman executive produces the series with Craig Zadan, Neil Meronand and Robert J. Wilson. Margaret Cho, Jackson Hurst, April Bowlby, Lex Medlin and Kate Levering co-star.
