The Jonas Brothers announced their decision to disband on Tuesday, Oct. 29, less than three weeks after Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas canceled their fall tour due to "a deep rift within the band."

They signed to Hollywood Records in 2005 and sold more than 20 million albums worldwide. They starred in two Camp Rock movies and headlined their own Disney Channel show called Jonas from 2009-2010. Nick formed his own blues rock band in 2009 called Nick Jonas and the Administration. Kevin and his wife, Danielle Deleasa, star in their own E! channel reality show, Married to Jonas.

The boy band has graced a number of magazine covers, including Rolling Stone in July 2009 and Seventeen in June of that same year.

Joe talked to the teen magazine about where he sees himself in five years, saying, "I guess personally, I would love to do more acting."

"Maybe movies - that would be really cool," he added. "I think Johnny Depp's work is really great - he always incorporates music into what he does. And maybewrite a book one day, because I love to read. 'The Alchemist' is my favorite book of all time."

The brothers also graced the cover of Rolling Stone in 2008. Nick has been described as the leader of the pack and in their cover story for the magazine he was called  "the Jonas Brothers' boss - the spokesman, the best musician, the chief songwriter."

"Nicholas has always been older than he was," their father said.
