The new trailer of the Veronica Mars film focuses on the love triangle of Veronica, Piz, and Logan.

In the docu-trailer, the cast of the movie weighs in on the pairings on the show, which are now being translated in the film adaptation.

Veronica (Kristen Bell) is living in New York with her current boyfriend Stosh Piznarski (Chris Lowell), the move is also a part of her intention to run as far away from Neptune as she could. But seems like Veronica's past will stubbornly follow her. Through the news she finds out that Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring) has been accused of murder. Logan calls Veronica seeking her help. In the trailer Veronica turns him down at first but eventually gives in and agrees to help him get out of the mess.

"Logan's pull is too much for her, always," says Bell about her character's relationship with Logan.

Wallace Fennel, who plays Percy Daggs in the film, vehemently suggests that he is on team Piz, and Logan was never up for consideration.

Diane Ruggiero, who is the co-writer on the film, says she loves Piz, and goes on to suggest that there is a part of her that wishes Veronica would just stick to Piz.

Lowell spoke about the time when he joined the show and the creators told him that he would be the guy who would break up the couple (Veronica and Logan) that everybody wanted to see together, and warned him that fans might hate him at first but that they hoped that the good nature of his character would eventually do the trick.

Writer and creator Rob Thomas had a nice way of explaining his preference. He said that he had an 8-year-old daughter, who he wished would "meet a nice Piz" when she grew up.

But then the teaser engages the other side of fictional love stories, where "unbridled passion" is given its due. Bell suggests that while Piz treats her better Veronica shares a better sexual chemistry with Logan.

Ryan Hansen, who plays Dick Casablancas in the film, is pitching for team Logan. "Veronica-Logan all the way, hands down! I like Piz, he is alright, but oh, Logan, he is such a heartthrob, I love him, he is such a bad boy, I don't know, I just love Logan," he says.

The other star rooting for the Veronica-Logan pairing is Tina Majorino, who plays Cindy MacKenzie.

The show lasted for three seasons before being cancelled in 2007. The film is being funded by a Kickstarter campaign started by the show and film's writer Thomas and lead star Bell.

Veronica Mars is scheduled for release in the spring of 2014.
