Nicole Kidman is on the cover of the December issue of Vanity Fair where she opened up about her 2001 divorce with Tom Cruise, whom she married when she was 23.

While she had no intention of insulting her past union with Cruise, Kidman said she's with the right man now.

"And you know, with no disrespect to what I had with Tom, I've met my great love now," she said in reference to her husband/musician Keith Urban. "And I really did not know if that was going to happen. I wanted it, but I didn't want it for a while, because I didn't want to jump from one relationship to another. I had a lot of time alone, which was really, really good, because I was a child, really, when I got married. And I needed to grow up."

Celebrity Couples Who Met On Set

Kidman wed the current American Idol judge in 2006 and the pair has two children together, Sunday and Faith. The Stepford Wives actress also has two adopted children - Isabella and Connor - with her former husband.

During her interview, Kidman pointed out that she endured an intense level of fame when she was married to Cruise as opposed to her current relationship.

"It's very intoxicating, because it's just the two of you," she told the magazine of being bombarded by fame. "So it brings you very close, and it's deeply romantic. I'm sure Brad and Angelina have that because there's nobody else that understands it except that person who's sleeping right next to you."

Celebrity Couples Who Have Lasted Many Years

But, Kidman said she no longer finds comfort in such a lifestyle. The 46-year-old has moved far away from Hollywood and resides in Nashville with Urban.

"You can have a certain career, but you can't be living in Hollywood, [where] absolutely everything, everything revolves around it," she said. "That wasn't my choice. I'd rather revolve around somebody else's career and then still find my own."
