Olivia Wilde made her first red carpet appearance on Tuesday, Oct. 29, since announcing that she is expecting her first child with fiance Jason Sudeikis

The actress made her public appearance at the International Women's Media Foundation's Courage in Journalism Awards in Beverly Hills. The Rush star dressed in a Cushnie Et Ochs dress, which she paired with Jimmy Choo heels, a Stephen Webster cuff and a Clelia clutch.

Wilde and the Saturday Night Live veteran announced earlier in October that they will welcome their first child in 2014, though a due date was not revealed. She thanked fans for their well wishes via Twitter on Sunday, Oct. 27.

"WOW. You guys are awesome. So kind. Thank you thank you thank you!" she wrote. "PS. Babies eat mostly salsa right?"

The 29-year-old met Sudeikis, 38, on the 2011 season finale of SNL and they began dating six months later. They became engaged in January of this year, according to People. It is not yet known if the couple planning to postpone the ceremony until after the actress gives birth.

Wilde has previously hinted that she wanted to start a family with the comedian, saying in a March interview with Marie Claire she knew he was "the one."

"I'm open-minded about how many, but three, which I love, is like a little party...I've never before experienced looking at someone and thinking, 'That's who I want to raise a child with."
