One of the celebrity dancers on Dancing With the Stars wanted to quit after Monday night's shocking elimination.

Monday night's episode of Dancing With the Stars featured the elimination of Jersey Shore star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and her partner Sasha Farber. Polizzi was visibly disappointed in the result, as were many of her competitors. However, comedian Bill Engvall was so upset about the result that he wanted to quit the competition and let Polizzi take his place.

Pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy revealed Engvall's wish in his blog for Today Wednesday morning. According to the dancer, Engvall told him that he didn't feel that the result was right and wanted to go to host Tom Bergeron and voluntarily quit and have her return to the competition.

Chmerkovskiy managed to convince him otherwise, and Engvall did not speak up. The dancer recounted the speech he gave to Engvall in that moment:

"You volunteering to leave is not going to change anything," he told Engvall. "This is your journey. People want to see you do your thing. You're here to grow and inspire people. It'd be more wrong for you to leave than it is that Nicole is going."

Polizzi and Farber made an appearance on Good Morning America on Tuesday to discuss their elimination. Polizzi said that their elimination came down to not enough people voting for them.

"I guess it's all about the votes," she admitted. "I think people forget to vote. They forget to vote for their favorite team."

Seven couples are left in season 17 of Dancing With the Stars. They will be dancing in front of guest judge Cher along with regular judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
